The Tragic Heroine

People that don't know me think I'm quiet, but people that know me wish I WAS.

Doesn't look like a tragic protagonist, huh? That's because a tragic hero is a hero with a tragic flaw in his personality that prevents him from being what he wants to be. So let's project that mold onto me. I am a person with many flaws and some of them really prevent me from doing/being what I really want to do/be. Thus you are able to call me a tragic heroine, and let this be my story...

For those of you who do not want to read further or simply dislike long paragraphs, here's what I'm about in 5 sentences:
To begin with, my name is Tina, and I was born in October 1988. I am studying English Language, Literature and Linguistics major (5th semester) and Computational Lingustics minor (3rd semester) at Trier University. I have 3 lovely cats, namely Izzy, Josy, and Chuck. An author who has affected me would be Philip Pullman, since when reading 'His Dark Materials Trilogy' I became interested in parallel universes, time travel and quantum physics. My motto is "Rise once more than you fell", I am a book-a-holic and a lazy ass.

Personality

I am that kind of person whom people would mistook for a shortspoken one... and they are right. I am entitled with complexities, doldrums... and misery and happiness, am I not? I am a person of few words. I rather shut up than blabber nonsense. I let other people do the talk. I’m more of the “ear” person because I easily get tongue-tied. I'm not a people person but I really find interesting people – interesting... I get annoyed easily. Blame Mother Nature and PMS. I am not that ostentatious with feelings, but sometimes my tears come easily. I give my trust easily, I cry a lot. It's nature’s way of equalizing the pain, anguish to pleasure and bliss. I am full of obsessions... and compulsions. I am not everything I wish I could be. But I am everything I need to be.
